"Dont Blame the Eater"

1) David Zinczenko states "Complicating the lack of alternatives is the lack of information about what, exactly we are consuming (David, 140)." David is right to an extent that there aren't many inexpensive, convenient alternatives to fast food. People deplore the tendency to not think about choosing the healthier and same priced food such as, Subway? The only difference between subway and McDonald's is that there isn't a drive thru. So is that saying, Americans are just plain old lazy? People always have other options to every choice they make but they seem to choose the easiest and fastest and in the fast food world that all comes along with the fattest foods. People need to be less lazy and go into the fast food restaurants that are better for them or get up and find the time to go to the grocery store and buy the right foods!
2) I tend to agree with David Zinczenko that fast food restaurants has a great deal with youthful obesity. David shows the numbers rising in diabetes at 30% and the most shown cause is for fast food eating. The stats never lie, but not only is it wrong for people to promote others to eat such horrible food, that still has not stopped Americans to eat fast food. Fast food doesn't show children the negatives of eating fast food but children also don't know any better. I personally do not find this okay for Americans to sue McDonald's for "making them fat." Children don't know the dangers but they have parents, guardians and they do know the dangers and for them to let their children eat fast food to the point of obesity and to be diagnosed for diabetes is the parents fault. Parents should regulate the intake of fast food that their children consume. McDonald's also states on all their food and drinks the nutrition facts. They are technically upholding there part in promoting that food. As a child, which was only about 10 years ago fast food in my eyes was a "treat" to be able to eat. My parents only let us eat McDonald's maybe twice a month. To go to the extent of suing McDonald's because you claim it has made your child obesity is 100% wrong on the parents and guardians not the company.
