I did print a version with an introduction. I think personally I need more sources of books and I did not use the school nurse as one of my annotations so I will in my final research paper. If you are unsure, explore two or three topics by responding to the following questions:
-Plastic Surgery

Part I: Exploration
1. Identify the issue or problem that you plan to focus on in your research project.
-What are the pros and cons of plastic surgery?
2. What is your personal connection to and interest in this topic?
-I had a friend who decided to go behind her parents and get plastic surgery done. Afterwards she suffered from severe problems from the surgery.
3. What opinions do you already hold about this topic?
-I find this topic to be very important for people to read about before going to have plastic surgery done to fix things that don’t need to be altered. There is true meaning behind plastic surgery and it is not to perfect your body.
4. What knowledge do you already have about this topic?
-I know a bit about the topic not to much, I would like to get more in depth with writing this research paper.
5. What are your main questions about this topic? What are you most curious about?
-Why do people still have plastic surgery even when knowing the dangers?
-What are the exact consequences of plastic surgery?
-What seems to drive people to have plastic surgery?
6. Within what scholarly discipline (such as history, biology, and psychology) do you expect to do most of your research? How does this discipline approach or study this topic?
-Well with the topic plastic surgery all the scholarly topics up above could apply to my topic. I could research the history behind plastic surgery and when it began and how. Biology would be very involved since it involves the human body. Psychology would play a major role with are patients mentally right or wrong about plastic surgery-to even the texts they perform before and after surgeries to make sure patients mind sets are adequate.
7. How could you research this topic outside the library (for example, through interviews?
-I don’t think I could do interviews but maybe the internet would have interviews posted about this topic. Plastic surgeons don’t like to sit down and talk negatively about the work they do and perform.
And/or observations)?
-Observations would be a key component because there is tons of an observation on the internet and in books about people who have had plastic surgery and who have not.

Part II: Focusing
Write an initial claim, or an open-ended question, to guide your research on this topic. Make it specific but exploratory. Remember that a good claim opens up an area of inquiry about a topic; a claim should invite evidence, support, and debate.

- Is plastic surgery really worth it in the end?

More synthesis sources

3) Bosch, Xavier, Micehle Manos, Nubia Munoz, Mark Sherman, Angela Jansen, Julian Peto, Mark H. These articles are to be argued with people who object what is being said. It is true that children don't need computers in involving every aspect of their lives, but they are the new era and they can help a lot of people. Not only do computers help people it supplies lots of people with jobs today. Some people may read this article and might think who cares, but some people do care and you need to take point to that. Others who don't care or even have a different view of what is being said should be taken as well. Chapter six "Skeptics who may object" goes very well with both these articles since they are two sided. Computer and technology has a great view on that computers and technology are taking over everything we know to an extent. Schools should not teach on computers only and should still use books, and other ways of teaching. Teachers and other parents and students feel differently they may like that everything is on computers and more high tech. I mean are society is ever revolving around new technology, so we should use it and be more adapt to computers and technology. Some people again will argue "Who cares", as long as my child is getting the proper and right education it doesn't bother them. When reading articles like these you need to make sure that you undermine how others feel and make sure to say why it matters but in the right manner.

"Dont Blame the Eater"

1) David Zinczenko states "Complicating the lack of alternatives is the lack of information about what, exactly we are consuming (David, 140)." David is right to an extent that there aren't many inexpensive, convenient alternatives to fast food. People deplore the tendency to not think about choosing the healthier and same priced food such as, Subway? The only difference between subway and McDonald's is that there isn't a drive thru. So is that saying, Americans are just plain old lazy? People always have other options to every choice they make but they seem to choose the easiest and fastest and in the fast food world that all comes along with the fattest foods. People need to be less lazy and go into the fast food restaurants that are better for them or get up and find the time to go to the grocery store and buy the right foods!
2) I tend to agree with David Zinczenko that fast food restaurants has a great deal with youthful obesity. David shows the numbers rising in diabetes at 30% and the most shown cause is for fast food eating. The stats never lie, but not only is it wrong for people to promote others to eat such horrible food, that still has not stopped Americans to eat fast food. Fast food doesn't show children the negatives of eating fast food but children also don't know any better. I personally do not find this okay for Americans to sue McDonald's for "making them fat." Children don't know the dangers but they have parents, guardians and they do know the dangers and for them to let their children eat fast food to the point of obesity and to be diagnosed for diabetes is the parents fault. Parents should regulate the intake of fast food that their children consume. McDonald's also states on all their food and drinks the nutrition facts. They are technically upholding there part in promoting that food. As a child, which was only about 10 years ago fast food in my eyes was a "treat" to be able to eat. My parents only let us eat McDonald's maybe twice a month. To go to the extent of suing McDonald's because you claim it has made your child obesity is 100% wrong on the parents and guardians not the company.

My first Post

"Ruben Brown has been around long enough to know what happens to a quarterback when he's under pressure. Rex Grossman has handles the pressure with assurance. "Grossman says, what motivates me is to become a great quarterback in this league and be great quarterback for this franchise." The real situation at hand here is that does everybody seem to think that Rex Grossman wont fold this year and be the best quarterback? "Rob Johnson says, I'm telling you he folded like a tent. When the pressure was on he was out." "A position to make a difference for the team that just could not take the pressure of the scrutiny and all of the other things that go."
-In the article about Rex Grossman and whether or not he will fold this season is an intriguing article. Ruben Brown states that he knows that he wont fold and shouldn't have any problems at all. Coming from Rex Grossman himself knows that he will do his best and really doesn't care about all the others facts. "They say" is all the media and other people around Rex Grossman talking and the "I say" is Rex Grossman talking and stating on how he knows he will do well.

www.bbiggs@suntimes.com
